Support health and healing, close to home

Providence Children's Health

Providence is recognized as a center of excellence for children’s services, especially for children with special and complex health care needs. Support for children's health programs and services will continue through funds at Providence Portland Medical Foundation and Providence St. Vincent Medical Foundation.

Your Impact

More than 9,000 babies are born in a Providence Oregon hospital every year, each with their own unique health care needs.  Thanks to generous donors, we help families navigate the twists and turns in each child’s health care journey.

Your gift supports programs and services that provide better health care for our youngest and most vulnerable patients.

Helping children and families thrive

Center for Medically Fragile Children

The Center for Medically Fragile Children is the only pediatric skilled nursing facility in the Pacific Northwest. We provide compassionate 24-hour long-term, short stay, respite, sub-acute and end-of-life care for children and young people with profound disabilities and complex medical needs ranging in age from infancy to 21 years. This includes medical, dental, therapies and enrichment activities.

Children’s Development Institute

With nearly 40,000 annual visits, Providence Children’s Development Institute provides comprehensive, family-centered care to children with special needs, from infancy through adolescence. Specialized equipment, additional therapy time and family support services are all funded by donors.

Swindells Resource Center

Learning that your child has special needs, developmental delays or disabilities is life changing, isolating and scary. Swindells Resource Center supports parents and caregivers of these children by providing peer-to-peer support, free resources, and information and education to communities throughout Oregon and southwest Washington. Each year we help tens of thousands of families throughout the region.
