Because of you, our second annual Black & White Ball was an incredible success!
More than 530 supporters gathered under the stars at Providence Park for a night unlike any other and gave more than $750,000 to help fund the crucial services Providence Heart Institute will provide to future heart transplant patients and their families.
The evening began with an interactive cocktail hour where guests learned CPR, enjoyed a photo booth (see photos here) and had a chance to meet Steve Clark (Timbers goalkeeper), Zarek Valentin (Timbers defender), Emily Menges (Thorns FC defender), and Adrianna Franch (Thorns FC goalkeeper and 2019 World Cup winner with the US Women's National Team).
Guests had the opportunity to take a shot on the official Timbers and Thorns goal with the help of former Timber Jack Jewsbury. Timber Joey welcomed all to sit for dinner with a rev of his chainsaw and Kyra Smith kicked off field festivities with the national anthem.
Portland Timbers Broadcast team members Ross Smith and Jake Zivin served as emcees for the evening full of fun and inspiration.
We heard from Providence Heart Institute leader, Dr. Dan Oseran, along with leading Providence heart failure physicians Dr. Jacob Abraham and Dr. Jill Gelow. Heart transplant recipient Yvonne Cooper shared her powerful story of how the generosity of donors helped her receive the care (and the heart) she needed to survive.
Thank you for your commitment to providing the best care for heart failure patients across Oregon and beyond.. Click here to learn more about how you can support Providence Heart Institute in transforming the future of cardiac care.
