2020 Black & White Ball Benefiting Providence Heart Institute
Due to COVID-19, we are transforming the Black & White Ball into a live television event direct from Providence Park.
Designed to bring Timbers and Thorns supporters, Providence donors and friends, and our community together in a new way, viewers will hear from players and staff, who will share behind-the-scenes glimpses into the exercise, nutrition, and resilience tools these world-class athletes use to perform at their best. And Providence Heart Institute will show how what these athletes do is similar to what we can all do at home to ensure our “home team” is equipped to live our best, heart-healthy, active lives.
Proceeds benefit the Families in Training (FIT) Project
All proceeds from this event will benefit The FIT Project, a free family lifestyle training program designed to help families become their healthiest through a sustainable approach to wellness, fitness and nutrition education.
The FIT Project is a 6-month lifestyle intervention for families with school-aged children (ages 6-18). This immersive program provides families with personalized wellness coaching and weekly fitness classes led by a certified personal trainer. Additional curriculum includes monthly nutrition and cooking classes guided by registered dietitians who also provide two family-specific consults during the cohort.
We hope you will tune in to KPTV on Sunday, October 4 at 7 p.m. to learn more and support Providence Heart Institute.
