Elf Academy
Stroll through the magical winter wonderland filled with stunning Christmas trees and displays decorated by local businesses, designers, florists and talented volunteers.
New this year - Kids can participate in various activities to “earn their ears” at Elf Academy at the Festival of Trees!

Become one of Santa's Helpers
Kids will have a chance to learn what it’s like to be one of Santa’s elves at Elf Academy at the Festival!
They’ll perfect their cookie decorating skills in Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen, create crafts for themselves or kids in the hospital in Santa’s Workshop, become gift experts as they explore the holiday tree forest to complete a scavenger hunt, and visit Teddy Bear hospital.
Once they complete the required coursework, the studious kiddos will earn their elf ears!
Families and kiddos alike will also have a chance to visit with Santa or meet one of several magical Christmas characters roaming the Festival. Festive photo ops abound in this lighted wonderland.
Enter to win one of the incredible Festival trees, enjoy live entertainment and pick up a gift or two in our holiday market. Oh, and remember to grab a tasty hot chocolate while you enjoy this magical kickoff to the holiday season (and even take home a commemorative mug).
Special tree lightings will take place throughout Friday and Saturday.
All elves know that giving is the best part of the holiday season, and in keeping with this tradition, all proceeds from the event will benefit children with special needs. Join us for a festive way to get in the spirit!

Teddy Bear Hospital
Children age 12 and under are invited to visit the Teddy Bear Hospital – a fun, interactive place where they learn about their health and hospitals in a safe, "no pokes" environment from real doctors, nurses and caregivers. Each child will receive a free teddy bear as they are "admitted" to the hospital. Their journey through the ambulance, the emergency room and the operating room helps to build confidence and alleviate fears. Their "patient" teddy bear is theirs to take home and treasure this holiday season and for years to come. Personal teddy bears are welcome and encouraged at Teddy Bear Hospital.

Trees and Holiday Displays
Trees
The stars of the Festival show are the exquisite, one-of-a-kind trees created by our talented design teams. Auctioned off at the Gala Dinner and Auction to support children’s services at Providence, these trees remain on display for all to enjoy during the Public Show. Be sure to grab a scavenger hunt card when you arrive and see if you can find all of the hidden items among the trees!
Mini-trees, Wreaths & Decorations
Holiday decorating wouldn't be the same without a wreath on the door or above the mantel. These fantastic pieces along with other unique decorations can be found on display. Gather ideas for your own holiday décor. Mini-Tree and Wreath lane sponsored by Matisse Capital.
Complimentary Tickets
This year we are so pleased to announce that we have partnered with generous donor Nancy Lematta to provide tickets free of charge to local schools, non-profits and community groups that meet our Mission of serving the poor and vulnerable.
We are unable to accept any more complimentary ticket requests because we can no longer guarantee that tickets will reach you in time. If you have previously requested tickets and have not received yours in the mail, please contact us at festival@providence.org.
