Oct. 22 was a special day on the campus of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center as the Sister Rita Peace Garden was blessed and opened to honor Sister Rita Ferschweiler's many years of dedicated service to Providence and the community.
Sister Rita, now 100, entered religious life with the Sisters of Providence in 1943. She trained as a medical-surgical nurse and eventually rose to become administrator of Providence St. Vincent.
This project was supported entirely by you -- our generous donors. Many blessings to you and Sister Rita.
